What are channel tokens?
Channel tokens are tokens used to reward members for posting in a channel. They are unique because they are exclusively distributed through Rounds where channel members earn tokens by posting great content.
How are rewards determined?
Rounds uses channel member likes and recasts to determine who earn rewards.
Who controls the token supply?
The channel owner has full control over the token supply. While the distribution is managed through Rounds' smart contracts, the channel owner maintains withdrawal rights.
How often are channel tokens distributed?
The default distribution settings are to distribute the entire token supply (~100M) over the course of one year on a daily basis. Every day 1/365 or 250k tokens are distributed to channel members.
What is the token supply distribution like?
85% goes to the channel members, 10% goes to the token creator and 5% goes to Rounds.
Can I edit the distribution?
Yes, you can visit rounds.wtf and sign in with the Farcaster account that created the token to edit the distribution.
Can I stop the distribution?
Yes, you can reach out to the Rounds team on Discord or Twitter to stop your channel token distribution.
Is there any liquidity pool created?
No, channel tokens do not automatically come with liquidity pools. Creating liquidity pools would be up to the token creator and community to establish if desired.
